After completing high school overseas, John moved to Southern California to attend college. Following his first year, he paused his studies to join the United States Marine Corps, serving eight years on active duty and in the reserves as a Forward Observer. After receiving an honorable discharge, he resumed his education and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

While in college, John worked as a professional ski instructor and volunteered as a coach for the Special Olympics ski program.

Upon graduating, he returned to California to begin a career in Silicon Valley, where he held technical and leadership roles at companies including Nortel Networks, Polycom and Cisco Systems. His work spanned field engineering, pre-sales systems engineering, sales and management.

In 2019, John relocated to the Reno area to join the family business, overseeing the construction of a medical device manufacturing facility in Spanish Springs.

John is also a proud father of identical twin daughters who actively compete in Sierra Nevada Horse Show Association (SNHSA) events.
