SNHSA Board -Lynne MacLean

Lynne MacLean

Founding Board Member
Emeritus

Lynne is SNHSA’s longest serving board member. She was a board member with its founding members, Lynn Lloyd and Laurie Alden Africa.  Beginning 2024, Lynne will transition to the Emeritus board position.  She is motivated to stay involved with the organization to ensure SNHSA’s mission and vision continue to align with the national standards of the sport’s governing bodies.

Lynne has always had horses in her life.  She started riding when she was 8.  For decades, she rode western, mostly trail riding through the Sierras and around Lake Tahoe with family and friends.  It was only when her two daughters, Aimee and Sarah, took an interest in riding, that she followed their interests and started riding English and jumping.

After getting a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Lynne’s professional career primarily focused on the arts.  For thirty years, she ran her own custom glass studio called The Glass Studio.  Many homes in the Reno and Tahoe area feature her stained glass and beveled windows.

In 1990 Franktown Meadows opened for business.  For the past thirty years, Lynne has served as President and Owner.  Under Lynne’s guidance, Franktown Meadows has endeavored to be an asset and resource for the northern Nevada equestrian community by hosting sanctioned horse shows, clinics, and premier events like the Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby.
