President 2019 to present
Competition Standards & Structure Chair
Board Member since 2015

Liz has been a SNHSA Board member since 2015, and has been President for the past five years. As president, her goals are to ensure that SNHSA is able to continue their history of facilitating high quality local competitions for horses and riders. To date, Liz feels the biggest accomplishment she has helped facilitate while on the SNHSA Board has been the creation of the annual Jumper special events, the Challenge Cup Tournament and Pro/JR-AM Speed Derby.

Liz says she was born with a love for horses, but started riding at the age of three. To this day, she remembers the day she got her very first horse – and she still has that horse, Life is Life.

Liz moved to Northern Nevada in 2001, but before that, she lived in the Bay area, and in Germany, among other places. In 2006, she started the Pair of Aces Stables where she is the owner, CEO and head trainer.

Besides Hunter/Jumper events, she also competes in Dressage, and has earned her USDF Gold Medal, as well as her Silver, Silver Freestyle bar and Bronze Medal.

In 2023, Liz was awarded the Practical Horseman’s Trainer of the Year Award.
